How to read this
Conversation first, evidence second
JMM scans hot, new, and top for each of five communities from r/wallstreetbets, r/stocks, r/investing, r/options, and r/stockmarket, removes duplicate posts, and looks for possible stock symbols. It discards posts created more than seven days before the scan. It publishes a ticker only after matching it to one current company or fund in the SEC directory. The SEC company or fund ID is also called a CIK. The count is the number of scanned posts that mentioned the ticker, not every comment on Reddit.
Raw post text, usernames, links, and sentiment do not appear here. Each ticker page points to the SEC identity and, when JMM has completed the filing work, the full company record. The downloadable aggregate also carries the dated, hashed SEC directory receipt used for the identity match. Read the filings before a price screen and size a position before excitement sizes it for you.
